Eswatini Mission Trip 2026

In June and July 2026, two teams from Oviedo City Church—one with six members and another with seven—traveled to the Kingdom of Eswatini in Southern Africa for a mission trip. While there, we had the privilege of partnering with our mission partners at Christ’s Hope International.

Throughout the week, our heart was to serve alongside the local staff, encourage children and families, build meaningful relationships, share the hope of Christ, and support the ministry in practical ways.

One of the highlights of the trip was being part of the Grand Opening of the Shoba Care Center—a beautiful celebration of God’s faithfulness. The local chief, along with 15 representatives from the tribal office, joined more than 70 parents, children, and families for a joyful two-and-a-half-hour celebration. The chief shared his sincere gratitude for the impact Christ’s Hope is having in the community, and we were reminded that this ministry is about far more than a building. It is about lives being transformed through the love of Christ.

We also went with several practical goals in mind: to raise funds for food bags that would help feed 120 families across both care points, and to help complete important projects at the new care point, including tiling the kitchen and bathrooms and providing funds for a backup water cistern. Because of the generosity of our Oviedo City Church family, these needs were fully funded. We are deeply grateful for the way our church continues to give, serve, and support the work God is doing in Eswatini.

Pray for our 2027 mission trip, that God would prepare the team, provide the resources, and open the doors for continued partnership and impact.
