OCC Kids Camp 2023
This July we hosted our 5th annual OCC Kids Camp—for the first time on our very own property! This is one of Oviedo City’s biggest outreach events of the year! We had over 80 kids participate this year, 50% of whom came from outside OCC. We had an Out of This World experience learning that “Jesus Shines the Light in the Darkness” and “that we can shine Jesus' light to those around us wherever we go”. We did this through daily bible stories, worship, music, games, experiments, snack time, and a whole lot of fun!
Having our own facility allowed us to enjoy a great time of food and fellowship prior to the evening program.
We couldn’t have done this without the amazing students and adults who gave their time to share Jesus' love with these kids. We had over 50 people help in some way! There were people who created the beautiful decorations, helped with setting up, those that came each day to teach, assist, lead worship, provide lights, sound and security. It was heartwarming to see the relationships that formed, not just among the campers, but through Intergenerational Leadership that encompassed the entire camp.
